Drew Perschon's Story

Drew was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma on November 6, 2007. Neuroblastoma is a highly aggressive cancer that affects 6 in 1,000,000 kids. About 700 kids per year are diagnosed in the United States. Drew's cancer is being treated starting Monday, November 12, 2007 with his first round of chemotherapy. Eventually, surgery and stem cell transplant will also be part of his treatment.

Drew is in the best possible hands at Children's Memorial Hospital here in Chicago. His doctors are Dr. Elaine Morgan and Dr. Jeff Andolina. His surgeon is Dr. Marleta Reynolds. His nurse is Jackie Toia. This team (that includes many other dedicated doctors and nurses) was hand-picked by Dr. Morgan and will stop at NOTHING to cure Drew. Drew and Crew can't wait to get started and kick some butt!

Thankfully, much of Drew's treatment will allow him and his family to come home each night. They are looking forward to quiet evenings at home after long days at the hospital.
